    Job Description:

    • Responsibilities
    • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions
    • Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations
    • Perform consultations, follow-up visits, and routine outpatient evaluations
    • Provide inpatient GI consult support and rounding as needed
    • Order, interpret, and communicate laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic test results
    • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
    • Educate patients and families regarding disease processes, treatment options, and preventive care
    • Coordinate care with primary care providers, specialists, nursing staff, and ancillary services
    • Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and practice development efforts

    Qualifications

    APRN Requirements

    • Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program
    • Current Florida APRN license or eligibility for licensure
    • National board certification as Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP
    • Current BLS certification
