Join  APPLIED EARTH SCIENCE as a Geotechnical Field Technician, Staff Engineer / Geologist in sunny Los Angeles, CA! This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse geotechnical projects while collaborating with a passionate team dedicated to providing innovative solutions in geoscience. 
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Conduct field investigations and collect soil, rock, and groundwater samples.
  • Perform geotechnical testing and analysis in accordance with industry standards.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation of field activities and findings.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of geotechnical projects.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other professionals to develop project plans.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in the field.
  • Provide technical support during construction and site development.
  • Participate in client meetings and communicate project updates effectively.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant field experience in geotechnical investigations.
  • Knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles and soil mechanics.
  • Proficiency in using geotechnical testing equipment and software.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
