Arkansas Talent Group is partnering with a well-established engineering consulting firm to identify experienced GeotechnicalEngineers (PEs) for several newly created positions due to continued growth. Opportunities are available in both Little Rock, AR and Fayetteville, AR.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys geotechnical work and wants to join a firm where you'll have visibility, meaningful project responsibility, direct access to leadership, and the opportunity to make a real impact. Approximately 90% of the work is focused on geotechnical engineering, offering the chance to work on challenging and diverse projects while supporting junior engineers and helping shape the firm's continued growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage geotechnical engineering projects from proposal through completion.
  • Review and seal geotechnical reports, engineering calculations, and construction recommendations.
  • Perform engineering analyses related to foundations, settlement, bearing capacity, slope stability, retaining walls, pavements, and earthwork.
  • Provide technical oversight of field investigations, laboratory testing, and construction materials testing activities.
  • Review the work of staff engineers and provide technical guidance and mentorship.
  • Work directly with clients, contractors, architects, and project stakeholders.
  • Prepare proposals, project budgets, and cost estimates while managing project schedules.
  • Support business development through client relationships and networking.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards and safety requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license (Arkansas or ability to obtain Arkansas reciprocity)
  • 5+ years of geotechnical engineering experience
  • Strong technical writing and project management skills
  • Valid driver's license

  • Construction Materials Testing (CMT)
  • Special Inspections
  • Foundation Design
  • Deep Foundations
  • Earth Retention Systems
  • Transportation, commercial, and industrial projects
  • Supervising or mentoring engineering staff
