Geologist
Our client is hiring a Geologist to lead environmental project management efforts spanning contaminant investigations, infrastructure assessments, remediation, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include:
- Manage projects related to wastewater regulations, contaminant investigations, infrastructure environmental assessments, remediation, and permitting/compliance
- Delegate and oversee project team assignments, and lead or conduct field team activities
- Conduct technical writing reviews of reports prepared by other team members
- Provide technical oversight, quality assurance/quality control, and project management for:
- Groundwater, soil, surface water, vapor intrusion, and PFAS contaminant investigations
- Industrial and municipal facility/infrastructure environmental assessments, siting studies, and redevelopment support
- QA/QC programs and plans
- Waste characterization and disposal evaluations
- Regulatory permitting and compliance
- Work primarily from the office and at client sites (commercial, government, industrial); travel required, estimated at a minimum of 20% of the week
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, or related field
- Licensed Geologist in NC or SC
- 8+ years of professional environmental experience
Preferred:
- Strong software experience
