Job Specifications

Join a team where your attention to detail and technical skills help shape the future of utility operations. This position offers the opportunity to work with GIS technology, field data, and mapping tools to support accurate information management and provide resources that keep essential services running efficiently.

What Youll Do:

  • Use GIS technology, GPS equipment, and electronic locating tools to collect, update, and maintain accurate Electric Utility data.
  • Support the development of reliable utility maps and resources by capturing and managing information related to electric infrastructure, including lines, equipment, meters, and service locations.
  • Analyze spatial data and create maps and visual resources that support operational needs, planning efforts, and community requests.
  • Maintain and enhance GIS systems using industry tools and best practices while applying knowledge of mapping, surveying, and technology to improve data accuracy and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, leadership, and the public by providing accurate utility information and GIS resources that support informed decision-making.

Minimum Training & Experience

  • Completion of a two (2) year vocational or college level program in computer drafting, computer science, geography, cartography, land surveying and mapping, geomatics, engineering technology or a related field; AND
  • Two (2) years of technical experience that includes work in at least two years of the following areas: Computer aided drafting, GIS/GPS, surveying, locating underground utilities, utility mapping, construction inspection, or engineering technology;

OR

  • High School Diploma or GED; AND
  • Four (4) years of technical experience that includes work in at least two years of the following areas: Computer aided drafting, GIS/GPS, surveying, locating underground utilities, utility mapping, construction inspection, or engineering technology

Necessary Special Requirements

  • Valid Class E State drivers license (or equivalent)

Salary Range

$21.6689 to $58.7999/hourly. Hiring rate generally will not exceed $33.0755/hour.

Additional Information

Flexible Schedule Options:

After successful completion of probation, flexible scheduling for 40 hour work week is available (no more than 10 hours/day) between 6am - 7pm Monday through Friday
