Under direct supervision, performs high complexity analysis and procedures specific to the laboratory (biochemical, molecular, cytogenetic); operates and maintains laboratory equipment needed to perform daily duties; increase productivity and maintain proficiency in the wet lab and analysis sections; Continue to gain knowledge appropriate to laboratory (biochemical, molecular, cytogenetic); adhere to laboratory policies for safety, conduct, and performance; participate in continuing education.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

TRAINEE

  • Bachelor's degree in Biological sciences or a related field

  • One (1) year laboratory experience or science related coursework

  • LA State Licensed or eligible

TECHNOLOGIST

  • Bachelor's degree in Biological sciences or a related field

  • Minimum one (1) year laboratory experience or science related coursework

  • ASCP certification or other equivalent board certification or eligible

  • LA State Licensed or eligible

TRAINEE
