    Description

    Do you thrive on solving mechanical and electrical challenges?

    Rack Electric is expanding our generator service team. If ATS logic, load shedding strategies, and surge protection best practices are in your toolkit—or you’re eager to learn—we’d love to meet you.

    What you'll tackle

    • Execute bi-annual maintenance for residential and commercial customers on a planned route.
    • Install and service generator monitoring systems.
    • Diagnose and resolve operational issues on generators and related components.
    • Deliver routine maintenance and performance checks.
    • Use our CRM to manage work orders, documentation, and a paperless workflow.
    • Participate in a one-week-at-a-time emergency on-call rotation.

    What you bring

    • Clean-cut, professional presence; polite, well-spoken, and detail oriented.
    • Strong mechanical foundation and proven technical aptitude.
    • Electrical background is a plus; knowledge of ATS, load shedding, and surge protection is a great advantage.
    • Own basic electrical/plumbing tools and testing equipment.
    • Methodical, self-motivated, and procedure-driven.
    • Physically able to lift up to 70 lbs on rare occasions and work in positions requiring bending, stooping, squatting, and kneeling.
    • Comfortable working in extreme heat, wind, and rain.

    Employment details

    • Job Type: Full-time
    • Pay: Commensurate with experience
    • Schedule: Monday – Friday 7-3:30; overtime available
    • On-call: Rotating schedule required
    • Storm support: After hours and weekends required during storms and hurricane season
    • Work location: In person
