    Team Overview:

    The Edward Jones Generations team provides an end-to-end, high net worth (HNW) client experience by partnering with our branch teams to provide ongoing client services including holistic financial planning, tax and estate planning services via trusted 3rd parties, plan implementation via expanding sets of Edward Jones products and services, and ongoing reporting and support. We're looking for strategic thinkers and collaborators who have a strong background in the many complex needs of financial planning as well as a deep desire to put their clients first in everything they do.

    What You Will Do:

    The Generations Director will lead the buildout and operationalization of private wealth functions across domains, driving functional project design and execution while optimizing capacity, engagement models, and quality standards to support consistent, scalable advice delivery aligned with divisional strategy.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Lead Generations functions across multiple domains (financial planning, portfolio management, tax and estate planning, specialized planning and advice, et. Al.), setting priorities and leading functional buildouts for capacity, processes, value delivery and performance quality.
    • Oversee calibration of Generations engagement models, including intake criteria, complexity thresholds, and service tiers across domains.
    • Ensure guidance and recommendations consistently reflect current regulatory, suitability, and market requirements.
    • Establish and governs quality review routines to evaluate recommendation consistency, technical accuracy, and client outcome alignment.
    • Drive cross-functional alignment with financial planning, product, advisory, and compliance to improve accessibility and integration of specialist support.
    • Implement reporting frameworks that provide visibility into utilization, case complexity, turnaround times, and quality outcomes.
    • Identify and prioritizes process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency, expertise readiness, and advisor experience.
    • Allocate resources across teams to optimize capacity against demand, particularly for high-complexity or high-risk cases.
    • Champion development of domain expertise and capability readiness, including training, tools, and guidance updates.
    • Ability to partner closely with product, investment, and business leaders to translate strategic initiatives into actionable programs, equipping client-facing team members with the knowledge, tools, and resources needed to confidently deliver enhanced value to clients.
    • Execution of go-to-market strategies for new products, services, and wealth management solutions. By collaborating across business lines, the Director drives awareness, education, and adoption among client-facing team members, ensuring advisors are equipped to articulate value propositions, identify client opportunities

    What Experience You Need:

    • Bachelor's degree required
    • Certified Financial Planning (CFP) or Charted Financial Analyst (CFA) designation required
    • Active Series 7, 66 & 24 required or obtained within 6 months of hire
    • Minimum of 11-14 years' experience of industry experience
    • Ability to travel up to 20%.
    • State Life and Health Insurance license preferred or obtained within 6 months of hire
    • Experience working with high-net-worth clients and financial advisors
    • People leadership experience, strategic planning, and business plan execution experience
    • Strategic planning and execution to drive the continued evolution of a functional capability
    • Advanced technical aptitude, analytical, and critical skills.
    • Deep, expansive subject matter expertise on advance financial planning, or investment management strategies and concepts.
    • Advanced skills in some of the following areas: systems thinking, planning and organizing, relationship building, collaboration, critical thinking, project management.
    • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills with the ability to provide concise, relevant market commentary and periodically explain complex investment terms/concepts to branch teams and directly to clients
    • Experience making decisions that span cross functional areas
