AVANTech, LLC solves some of the most challenging problems in the water industry – from being first responders to the Fukushima Nuclear Plant meltdown to implementing patented first-of-its-kind technology. Our projects include industrial water recycling and cleaning up legacy cold war wastewater at government sites. Who You Are:
A hands-on, multi-faceted department lead to oversee and support operations across the Sandblast, Paint, Consumables Assembly, and Vessel Testing programs.
- Schedule & Production Management: Understand production schedules and drive the team to meet daily operational goals
- Work with Quality Program: Follow strict quality programs including NQA1.
- Multitasking & Prioritization: Successfully balance several concurrent tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaboration & Flexibility: Step in and assist across any area of the department wherever support is needed.
- Technical Compliance: Accurately follow written procedures, interpret work instructions (travelers), and read mechanical drawings and blueprints.
- Problem Solving & Resourcefulness: Apply critical thinking skills and proactively consult the appropriate resources or personnel to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Communicate with Management: Have a strong communication with your direct supervisor. Informing when things change or certain goals are met or cannot be met.
Requirements:
- Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical abilities with hands-on technical experience.
- Equipment Operation: Valid forklift operation experience and certification (or ability to obtain).
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and management.
- Leadership: Demonstrated leadership qualities, dependability, and initiative.
- Schedule Flexibility: Willingness and availability to work required overtime, including Fridays and Saturdays, when project demands dictate.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands on experience with hydrostatic testing, pneumatic testing, load testing, and mechanically adept.
