Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking a mechanically inclined General Technician to join the AC Compressor Department of a Tulsa manufacturing operation. This position is responsible for assisting with the assembly, repair, and production of AC compressor components while maintaining established safety and quality standards.
The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on mechanical work, is comfortable using hand tools, and has previous experience in mechanical assembly, maintenance, production, or technician-related work. Training is available for qualified candidates who demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
Production is currently operating on an extended schedule, so candidates must be available for mandatory overtime from 6:00 AM5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The schedule is expected to return to normal 8:00 AM5:00 PM hours when production demands decrease.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform assigned work within the AC Compressor Department
Assemble AC compressor components and related products
Assist with mechanical repair activities
Use hand tools during assembly and repair processes
Inspect components before and during assembly
Follow established production procedures and work instructions
Perform general production activities as assigned
Identify obvious damaged or incorrect components
Maintain consistent workmanship throughout production
Communicate equipment, material, or quality concerns to supervisors
Maintain tools and materials in organized condition
Keep assigned work areas clean and safe
Follow all company safety and quality procedures
Perform additional technician and production duties as assigned
Mechanical Assembly & Repair
Candidates may regularly perform:
Mechanical assembly
Component installation
Parts removal and replacement
Basic mechanical repairs
Fastener installation
Hand-tool operation
Component inspection
General production support
Candidates should be comfortable working with their hands and learning how AC compressor components are assembled and repaired.
Tools & Equipment
Candidates may use:
Wrenches
Sockets
Screwdrivers
Basic hand tools
Assembly tools
Other production equipment as assigned
Previous mechanical tool experience is preferred, although training will be provided for qualified candidates.

Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods throughout the shift
Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling as required by assigned work
Repetitive use of hands and arms during assembly and repair activities
Manual dexterity required for hand-tool operation
Comfortable performing hands-on mechanical and production work throughout extended shifts
Ability to safely work around manufacturing equipment while wearing required PPE
