This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and support learners in achieving their full potential.
About us
Set in more than 20 acres of beautiful countryside, Welburn Hall School is located in the market town of Kirkbymoorside, on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. Originally a stately home, the Hall has been a school since the 1950s.
Our recently refurbished, spacious buildings and grounds provide excellent facilities, supported by a dedicated and caring staff team. Together, we create a calm, inspiring environment in which to learn, live, and work.
A North Yorkshire Council maintained special school, we are a National Nurture School with a strong reputation for excellence; offering a dynamic, innovative and unique learning journey for learners aged 8 to 19 years, with a wide range of learning difficulties.
We are proud to be accredited by the National Autistic Society, as a specialist setting proving our commitment to understanding autism, offering excellent support to our learners.
We pride ourselves in being a warm and friendly school; our staff are our greatest resource and are highly valued for the contribution and difference they make to the lives of our learners. Our ethos and core values of respect, perseverance and excellence support this model and are lived out in the daily work of the school.
Our Curriculum
Our learners enjoy a varied programme that includes classroom-based curriculum learning, sensory activities, music therapy, swimming and access to a hydrotherapy pool. They also take part in outdoor learning on the Farm and in Forest School, as well as enterprise projects such as running the school tuck shop.
