About the Role

We are looking for a very special person who is motivated and caring and who has the experience and knowledge to work as a General Teaching Assistant with a SEND allowance. The role is primarily to support support pupils in Key Stage 2 at Middleham. This is a vital role that offers the chance to work closely with all our Key Stage 2 children and also involves some work supporting a pupil 1:1

There is also the opportunity to act as a Midday Supervisory Assistant, supporting pupils at lunchtime.

• Hours: GTA 27.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 08:30 - 12:00 and 13:00 - 15:15 (part time may be considered for the right person)
• Hours: MSA 2.5 hours Monday to Friday 12:00 - 12:30
• Contract: Established
• Location: Mainly at Middleham, though there may be occasions where work across both sites is required.

You will support children both in class and during lunchtime, helping to create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment. We value your experience and positive attitude, and we are committed to providing any training you need to succeed.

You will be someone who:

• Has experience working in a school setting and a genuine understanding of child development - academically, socially, and emotionally
• Believes every child can succeed and holds high expectations for learning and behaviour
• Is motivated, reliable, and eager to contribute to a vibrant, team-oriented school community
• Has experience of working with children with additional needs
• Communicates effectively and works proactively both independently and as part of a team
• Is committed to ongoing professional growth and willing to engage in training and development opportunities
