Meadowside Academy is seeking to appoint a passionate and dedicated individual to join our happy, successful and inspirational team on a maternity contract. We are seeking to appoint a General Teaching Assistant (to include Midday Supervisory responsibilities over lunchtime). This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who shares our committed to delivering high standards and the best education possible for our children.

Job purpose - General Teaching Assistant 

  •                  Work with teaching staff to support teaching and learning by working with individuals or small groups of pupils, under the direction of teaching staff
  •                  May be responsible for some learning activities within the overall teaching plan
  •                  May work in the classroom and other learning or nurture spaces within the school 
  •                  Access to training, support and guidance for all staff
  •                  Work with children who have a range of Special Educational Needs 
  •                  To undertake specific work with individuals, groups and whole classes under the direction and supervision of a qualified teacher

  •                  Enjoy working as part of a dedicated, positive and child-focussed team
