General Surgery NP/PA (Bariatrics)

Overview

Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in Central New York and a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the Department of General Surgery - Division of Bariatric Surgery.

• Salary Range: $123,000 - $140,000
• Sign-on Bonus: up to $50,000
• Location: Cooperstown, NY

Job Description & Responsibilities

• Join an established hospital based General Surgery group of 11 Surgeons and 4 Advanced Practice Clinicians (APC). Metabolic & Bariatrics subspecialty of currently 3 Surgeons and 1 APC
• Practice within Bassett Healthcare Network, an integrated system delivering care across an 8-county region
• Responsibilities will include mostly OR – first assistant in large cases that require a second clinician, some outpatient clinic and call coverage
• Extensive surgical and inpatient hospital experience is essential

• National Certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

• New York medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
• BLS Certification
• DEA Required

Compensation

• Salary Range: $123,000 - $140,000
• • This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
