<\/h2>Surgical Affiliates Management Group (SAMGI) is seeking an experienced, Board-Certified Trauma Surgeon to serve as Trauma Medical Director at an ACS-verified Level III Trauma Center with 200+ beds in Northern California.<\/span>

<\/p>This is a dual clinical and leadership opportunity combining active practice in Trauma and Acute Care Surgery with physician leadership, quality oversight, and trauma program development.<\/span>

<\/p>Medical Director Responsibilities<\/span>

<\/h2>Provide physician leadership for the Trauma Surgery program<\/span>

<\/li>Maintain compliance with ACS and applicable state Level III Trauma Center standards<\/span>

<\/li>Lead and participate in trauma quality and performance improvement initiatives<\/span>

<\/li>Participate in trauma committees, peer review, and multidisciplinary conferences<\/span>

<\/li>Serve as a physician liaison between the trauma service, hospital leadership, and multidisciplinary teams<\/span>

<\/li>Promote a culture of clinical quality, patient safety, accountability, and continuous improvement<\/span>

<\/li>Support ongoing trauma program development and operational improvement<\/span>

<\/li><\/ul>Clinical Responsibilities<\/span>

<\/h2>Provide comprehensive Trauma and Acute Care Surgery patient care<\/span>

<\/li>Respond to trauma activations and acute surgical consultations<\/span>

<\/li>Perform trauma and emergency general surgery procedures as clinically indicated<\/span>

<\/li>Manage Acute Care Surgery consultations and operative cases<\/span>

<\/li>Participate in inpatient rounds and coordinate multidisciplinary treatment plans<\/span>

<\/li>Collaborate closely with Emergency Medicine, Anesthesia, Critical Care, Nursing, Rehabilitation, and other hospital-based teams<\/span>

<\/li><\/ul>Qualifications<\/span>

<\/h2>Board Certification in General Surgery required<\/span>

<\/li>Board Certification in Surgical Critical Care preferred, but not required<\/span>

<\/li>Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate clinical experience<\/span>

<\/li>Current or recent Trauma and Acute Care Surgery experience<\/span>

<\/li>Current or recent experience practicing at a Level I, II, or III Trauma Center<\/span>

<\/li>Prior trauma program leadership experience preferred<\/span>

<\/li>Current California medical license or eligibility for California licensure<\/span>

<\/li>Strong clinical judgment in high-acuity trauma and emergency surgery<\/span>

<\/li>Strong communication, leadership, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills<\/span>
