Lead the Construction of a Project That Will Define a City

We are seeking an experienced General Superintendent to lead field operations for a landmark arena construction project in Reno, Nevada.

This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a high-profile, large-scale commercial project that will become a centerpiece for entertainment, sports, and community events throughout the region. The successful candidate will serve as the senior field leader responsible for driving safety, quality, schedule performance, and coordination across all phases of construction.

What You'll Be Doing

Project Leadership

  • Serve as the senior field leader responsible for all onsite construction activities

  • Direct and coordinate Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and trade partners

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, sequencing plans, and site logistics strategies

  • Ensure project milestones are achieved safely, efficiently, and on schedule

  • Collaborate closely with Project Executives, Project Managers, Ownership Teams, Architects, and Consultants

Construction Operations

  • Oversee all phases of construction from sitework through project completion

  • Lead daily field operations, planning meetings, subcontractor coordination, and progress reviews

  • Coordinate structural, architectural, MEP, and specialty trade activities

  • Identify and proactively resolve field issues before they impact schedule or budget

  • Drive productivity and accountability across all project stakeholders

Safety & Quality

  • Champion a culture of safety across the entire project site

  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and project-specific requirements

  • Lead quality control initiatives and ensure work is completed to the highest standards

  • Conduct regular site inspections and performance reviews

Schedule Management

  • Develop and maintain detailed short-term and long-term construction schedules

  • Manage critical path activities and recovery plans when necessary

  • Coordinate material deliveries, equipment logistics, and workforce planning

  • Monitor production rates and manpower requirements throughout the project lifecycle

Client & Team Collaboration

  • Maintain strong relationships with ownership groups, design teams, and project stakeholders

  • Participate in executive-level project meetings and strategic planning sessions

  • Mentor and develop field personnel while building a strong project culture

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of Superintendent experience within commercial construction

  • 5+ years of experience leading large-scale projects as a Lead or General Superintendent

  • Proven experience delivering arena, stadium, hospitality, casino, convention center, airport, healthcare, or similarly complex commercial projects

  • Experience managing projects valued at $100M+ strongly preferred

  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, logistics, scheduling, and field operations

  • Ability to lead large project teams and multiple Superintendents

  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency with construction scheduling software and project management technology

  • Stable work history with reputable General Contractors preferred
