General Shop Hand

Nesco Resource is currently sourcing a Saw Operator/General Shop Hand for our client in Chesterfield, MI.

Shift Options:

• Monday–Friday:

  • 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (10-hour shift) or

  • 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (8-hour shift)

• Saturdays: 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM (as needed)

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform general labor duties in a machine shop environment

• Clean parts and deburr welded components using electric hand grinders

• Operate an electric saw to cut steel materials (enclosed saw)

• Use measuring instruments (tape measures, calipers, etc.) to verify dimensions

• Inspect parts for quality and accuracy

• Operate overhead crane and hi-lo (forklift) as needed

• Assist with various tasks based on production needs and experience

Requirements:

• Reliable, honest, and hardworking

• Strong communication skills and ability to work well with a team

• Comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs without assistance

• Excellent punctuality and attendance

• Crane and hi-lo experience preferred
