Midas Auto Service Experts in Fremont is looking for a hardworking General Service Technician to join our busy, full-service repair shop. You’ll receive hands-on experience, work with modern equipment, and have opportunities to develop your skills and advance within the company.
What You’ll Do
- Perform oil changes and routine preventive maintenance
- Complete fluid exchanges and filter replacements
- Conduct thorough vehicle safety and courtesy inspections
- Mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires
- Perform four-wheel alignments and alignment inspections
- Test and replace batteries
- Replace bulbs, belts, hoses, and other maintenance items
- Accurately document completed services and inspection findings
- Assist experienced technicians with shop operations and repairs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all company safety, environmental, and quality standards
What We’re Looking For
- Previous automotive service experience is preferred
- Wheel-alignment experience is strongly preferred
- Basic knowledge of automotive maintenance procedures and shop equipment
- Strong mechanical ability and willingness to learn
- Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently and contribute to a team
- Ability to manage time and stay productive in a fast-paced shop
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend, and work on your feet for extended periods
