General Practice Veterinarian

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate General Practice Veterinarian to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

- Perform routine medical exams and provide preventive care for a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, and small mammals

- Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries, including performing surgeries when necessary

- Educate pet owners on proper nutrition, behavior, and overall health care for their animals

- Communicate effectively with clients to ensure they understand their pet's condition and treatment plan

- Maintain accurate medical records and keep up-to-date with all necessary paperwork

- Collaborate with other veterinarians and support staff to provide comprehensive care for patients

- Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine and attend continuing education opportunities as needed

- Contribute to a positive and professional work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration

Qualifications:

- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university

- Active state veterinary license

- 1-3 years of experience in a general practice setting preferred

- Strong surgical skills and experience performing routine procedures

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle a diverse caseload

- Compassionate and empathetic approach to animal care

- Willingness to work some evenings and weekends as needed
