    Description

    Providence is seeking a compassionate, patient-centered General Pediatrician to join the team in Anchorage, Alaska. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services to infants, children, adolescents, and young adults in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. This physician will play a vital role in promoting healthy growth and development, preventive care, and management of acute and chronic pediatric conditions.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide comprehensive outpatient pediatric care for patients from birth through adolescence
    • Perform well-child examinations and developmental screenings
    • Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic medical conditions
    • Administer and counsel patients and families regarding immunizations and preventive care
    • Collaborate with specialists, care coordinators, behavioral health providers, and community resources to ensure high-quality patient care
    • Educate patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, nutrition, and safety
    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR), Epic
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings
    • Support organizational goals related to patient experience, quality, and access

    Qualifications:

    Required:

    • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
    • Completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency Program
    • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
    • Eligible for medical licensure in Alaska
    • Current DEA certification and BLS/PALS certification (or ability to obtain)
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    Preferred:

    • Experience in outpatient general pediatrics
    • Experience working in a team-based care environment
    • Interest in quality improvement, population health, and preventive care
    • Experience caring for diverse and underserved populations

    Position Highlights:

    • $5,000 and 80 hours towards CME
    • 264 hours annually of Paid Time Off
    • $25,000 for relocation support
