    Job Summary

     

    Alabama Power is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented General Office Clerk III to provide advanced administrative and clerical support for daily office operations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of the office by managing correspondence, maintaining records, coordinating meetings, supporting visitors, and performing a wide range of administrative functions. This position requires excellent organizational,

    communication, and computer skills, along with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

     

    Key Responsibilities

     

    ·      Provide advanced clerical and administrative support to ensure efficient office operations.

    ·      Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries while ensuring timely and

    ·      accurate distribution.

    ·      Perform accurate data entry and maintain records, spreadsheets, databases, and other

    ·      business documentation.

    ·      Organize and maintain filing systems, both electronic and paper, including scanning,

    ·      photocopying, and document management.

    ·      Welcome and assist visitors, vendors, and guests while maintaining a professional and

    ·      customer-focused environment.

    ·      Answer and direct incoming telephone calls, respond to inquiries, and route calls to the

    ·      appropriate departments.

    ·      Coordinate calendars, appointments, meetings, and events for management and staff.

    ·      Order, receive, and maintain office supplies while monitoring inventory levels.

    ·      Prepare reports, correspondence, spreadsheets, and presentations as needed.

    ·      Maintain organized workspaces and ensure administrative records remain current and

    ·      accurate.

    ·      Support multiple departments by prioritizing administrative tasks and meeting deadlines.

    ·      Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

    ·      Assist with additional administrative and clerical duties as assigned.

     

    Required Qualifications

     

    ·      High School Diploma or GED required.

    ·      Associate's degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.

    ·      3–5 years of administrative, clerical, office support, or customer service experience.

    ·      Experience in data entry, office coordination, or administrative support.

    ·      Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
