We are looking for a hands-on General Manager who can develop a strong team and consistently deliver excellent restaurant operations. This position is focused on training employees, developing shift managers, improving speed of service, controlling labor, maintaining food quality and cleanliness, and creating a positive guest experience.
Our upper-management and administrative teams provide support with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, marketing, HR, safety, and compliance. This allows the General Manager to focus primarily on leading the restaurant, developing the team, and improving store performance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Train, coach, and develop shift managers and team members.
- Build a team that can operate successfully with minimal oversight.
- Manage speed of service, order accuracy, food quality, and guest satisfaction.
- Monitor daily labor and adjust staffing based on sales and business needs.
- Create effective employee schedules that support service and labor goals.
- Lead busy shifts and ensure stations are properly staffed and prepared.
- Maintain Wingstop QSC standards for cleanliness, food safety, product quality, and operational procedures.
- Oversee inventory, ordering, product rotation, waste, and food-cost controls.
- Respond to guest concerns and use feedback to improve restaurant performance.
- Complete weekly reports, inventory, QSC self-evaluations, and other operational reporting.
- Coach employees on performance concerns and promptly report HR, safety, or compliance matters to the appropriate support team.
- Develop dependable shift managers who can lead successful shifts and bring forward solutions when problems arise.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous restaurant management experience; quick-service restaurant experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong training, coaching, and leadership skills.
- Experience managing labor, scheduling, inventory, and restaurant operations.
- Ability to lead a fast-paced restaurant while maintaining a positive and professional environment.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills and comfort using email, scheduling, reporting, and point-of-sale systems.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods as needed.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
What Success Looks Like
- A properly trained and dependable team.
- Strong shift managers who can independently run successful shifts.
- Consistent control of labor and speed of service.
- High guest satisfaction and order accuracy.
- A clean, organized, food-safe restaurant that is always ready for an operational evaluation.
- A positive and accountable workplace where problems are addressed quickly and professionally.

We're not in the wing business. We're in the flavor business. It's been our mission to serve the world flavor since we first opened shop in '94, and we're just getting started.
1997 saw the opening of our first franchised Wingstop location, and by 2002 we had served the world one billion wings. It's flavor that defines us and has made Wingstop one of the fastest growing brands in the restaurant industry.
Wingstop is the destination when you crave fresh never faked wings, hand-cut seasoned fries and any of our famous sides. For people who demand flavor in everything they do, there's only Wingstop - because it's more than a meal, it's a flavor experience.
