Location: Vancouver, WA (Onsite)
Our client is seeking a hands-on, entrepreneurial General Manager to lead and grow a well-established business unit serving multiple states throughout the western U.S. This is an outstanding opportunity for a leader who enjoys building teams, driving revenue, and creating operational excellence within a growing organization. This is a fully onsite leadership role based in Vancouver, Washington, with approximately 40-50% travel throughout the territory. As General Manager, you will have full responsibility for the overall success of the business unit, including sales performance, operations, financial management, and employee leadership. Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead all day-to-day business operations while driving profitable growth.
  • Own the business unit's profit and loss performance and achieve annual revenue and profitability goals.
  • Develop and execute strategic business plans that support long-term expansion.
  • Build, coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across sales, operations, project management, administration, and support functions.
  • Create a culture focused on accountability, customer satisfaction, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Review sales activity, forecasts, pipelines, and operational performance to ensure objectives are consistently achieved.
  • Identify new business opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing customers and partners.
  • Personally participate in high-value sales opportunities and key customer meetings.
  • Analyze financial performance, margins, operating expenses, and business trends to make informed decisions.
  • Read and interpret financial statements and P&L reports to improve overall business performance.
  • Partner with accounting and administrative leadership to monitor budgets, forecasting, and profitability.
  • Establish performance metrics and hold the team accountable for achieving results.
  • Ensure operational efficiency while maintaining high quality standards and excellent customer service.
  • Oversee facility operations, inventory, equipment, and office management as needed.
  • Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressive sales or business development experience.
  • 2+ years of leadership or management experience leading teams and driving performance.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to manage revenue, profitability, and operational performance.
  • Proven history of growing sales, expanding market share, and developing customer relationships.
  • Experience leading both sales and operational functions.
  • Comfortable reviewing financial reports, KPIs, budgets, and P&L statements.
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with business reporting and data analysis.
  • Experience using CRM, ERP, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to travel approximately 40-50%.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Comfortable climbing ladders and occasionally working at heights when necessary.
