Overview
Bacio Italiano is seeking a strong and energetic General Manager to oversee all daily operations of the restaurant. This role is responsible for leading both Front of House and Back of House teams while creating a positive, high-performing culture centered around hospitality, accountability, and teamwork.
The General Manager will work closely with the Kitchen Manager, FOH leadership team, and ownership to ensure operational excellence, strong financial performance, and a consistently exceptional guest experience. Success in this role means building and developing a team that takes pride in the restaurant, communicates effectively, and operates efficiently during both high-volume and slower periods.
Responsibilities
Operations & Financial Management
Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth and efficient service
Manage labor scheduling and maintain payroll targets
Monitor daily sales, labor, and operational performance metrics
Oversee vendor relationships, invoices, and inventory systems including XtraChef
Ensure accurate payroll submissions and timekeeping through 7shifts
Manage onboarding for new hires including orientation, training schedules, and uniforms
Send weekly communication regarding events, reservations, and sales expectations
Maintain strong communication between FOH and BOH teams
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, mentor, and hold accountable FOH managers and hourly staff
Work alongside the Kitchen Manager to maintain strong operational standards
Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on hospitality and professionalism
Conduct pre-shift meetings and ongoing coaching with staff
Train and develop employees using systems such as 1Huddle
Document performance conversations and disciplinary action through 7shifts
Ensure all team members maintain required certifications and compliance standards
Guest Experience & Quality Control
Maintain high standards for food quality, cleanliness, and guest service
Monitor guest reviews and feedback across all platforms and respond appropriately
Address guest concerns quickly and professionally
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and liquor regulations
Oversee cash handling procedures and financial controls
Events & Catering Support
Assist with execution of private dining events and restaurant buyouts
Coordinate with management and ownership on special events and promotions
Support catering and event service standards when needed
Qualifications
3–5+ years of restaurant management experience in a high-volume environment
Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
Experience managing labor, scheduling, and financial reporting
Familiarity with Toast, 7shifts, XtraChef, and similar restaurant systems
Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods
Current Food Handler Card, Title 4, and Title 4 Management Certification required
Must be 21+ years old
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
