Basic Function: Responsible for overall performance of office location function and office
personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and achieves budgeted revenue goals and budgeted expenses
- Manages personnel effectively in order to achieve the goals of the company.
- Delegates’ proper authority.
- Properly maintains the general operations and maintenance of the grounds and the building.
- Develops an awareness of the company goals and strategies among the personnel.
- Maintains the highest possible standards of production and quality of work in the most economic manner.
- Makes himself available to all aspects and personnel in the business.
- Keeps Owners and management informed of all aspects of the business.
- Develops/Monitors company policies and procedures, providing guidelines to assist in achievement of the operational and service quality goals of the company.
- Responsible for enforcement.
- STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE
- The General Manager will have performed all of his duties when:
Annual Budget
A. the annual budget (Service Revenue, Variable Expense, Fixed Expenses, and
Contribution) is prepared and submitted prior to the beginning of the calendar
year. Timeline defined by Ownership.
B. Planned increase in last year’s revenue is budgeted and achieved.
Acceptable percentages are budgeted for all variables expenses.
C. All service revenue and expenses budgets have been achieved or exceeded
monthly.
D. All service revenue and expenses budgets have been achieved or exceeded
annually
STAFFING
A. Turnover of personnel is kept to an acceptable level of no more than 15%.
B. Bonus and incentive programs are established for individual personnel.
C. A personal file is kept on each employee with Job Application, Salary information, Job History, Job Description.
D. A personal review should be coordinated for all personnel on an annual basis. And revenue meetings held monthly for all department managers. Staff meetings are held monthly.
E. Ensure each employee receives recognition on special occasions; service anniversaries, birthdays, etc.
Building/Facility
A. Exterior of building is maintained and checked weekly and reported to Production Manager.
B. Landscape, i.e. grass, shrubbery, etc, is maintained at good levels. All entrances or openings are secured daily. Interior of office is maintained at an optimum level.
C. Products are stores securely and efficiently for distribution in designated areas.
Internal Communications
A. When no less than two company meetings are held annually to share company goals and objectives with all employees.
B. Personnel, sales and production meetings are held to keep all employees informed of the company‘s goals, and the day to day, month to month progression.
C. The re‐service rate is no more than 5% of jobs produced. There is no more than on re‐service per month due to faulty equipment or lack
of chemicals.
D. All crew chiefs and helpers wear ServiceMaster Clean uniforms.(Technicians) equipment, uniforms, vehicles should be inspected in a monthly basis and corrections should be made within 24 hrs.
E. All services are performed to ServiceMaster Clean specifications.
F. When all equipment, supplies, and vehicles are accounted for and in goodcondition.
Availability
A.When office is informed of schedule and estimated return when leaving the office. When office is phoned with four hours (or twice daily) while out, unless on vacation, conference or training seminars.
B. All employees feel free to meet and discuss business issues.
C. When all employees receive impartial support, with personal time being allocated as determined by the job responsibility.
D. Maintains knowledge base on current business trends and economy.
E. Develops written procedures for sales, production, closing and opening office, job handling, etc.
F. Serves as an informative source and guide to all employees and directs all special requests.
G. Works with the President/Owner to establish, change, and update company policies. Reviews company policy at least once a year.
