We're looking for an experienced people-focused General Manager to lead the team at our Santa Rosa Pub. This position will oversee daily operations, develop an outstanding team, and ensure every guest enjoys the high level of hospitality and quality RRBC is known for.
As the General Manager, you'll oversee all aspects of the Santa Rosa Pub while fostering a positive, safe, and accountable workplace. You'll lead by example, support your team, and ensure excellence across every area of the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, coach, and develops the chef, FOH and BOH and staff.
- Interview, hire, onboard, and train new employees.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and exceptional customer service.
- Oversee daily Pub operations to ensure a welcoming, clean, safe, and comfortable environment for guests and employees.
- Conduct daily shift meetings and lead regular supervisor and management meetings.
- Monitor service standards, food quality, and beer quality to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
- Control and manage labor costs, scheduling, payroll approvals, and meal and rest break compliance.
- Monitor and control operating expenses, inventory, food and beverage costs, and overall profitability while working within budget.
- Order beer, merchandise, NA beverages, wine and other operating supplies to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Ensure opening and closing procedures are consistently followed and preformed in a timely manner.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local health, safety, labor, and alcohol service regulations.
- Oversee facility maintenance, cleanliness, and appearance, including the gift shop, public areas, and outdoor spaces in a timely manner.
- Respond promptly to administrative responsibilities, including emails, reports, and interdepartmental requests.
- Handle company funds and employee tips responsibly and ethically.
- Enforce company policies and promote a positive, respectful workplace culture.
- All other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position manages pub staff, managers, Chef and operations.
- Payroll experience.
- Bilingual skills.
- Passion for hospitality, craft beer, and building high-performing teams.
- Minimum of 3 years of people management experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of restaurant or hospitality management experience.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Bachelor's degree in Restaurant Management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management abilities.
- Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of restaurant operations, inventory management, budgeting, scheduling, and labor compliance.
- Knowledge of California alcohol service laws and restaurant health and safety regulations.
- Experience with restaurant point-of-sale systems (Toast preferred).
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Suite, and scheduling software.
