Role Overview


The General Manager serves as the senior operational leader for a regional business unit, with full responsibility for day-to-day operations, financial performance, team leadership, and organizational culture.

This role requires a hands-on, people-focused executive who can drive operational excellence while developing high-performing teams across both field and office environments. The General Manager will be responsible for aligning employees around business objectives, strengthening leadership capabilities, improving operational execution, and supporting sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities


Business Leadership

  • Maintain overall responsibility for operational, financial, and organizational performance
  • Develop and execute strategies that support business growth and long-term stability
  • Partner with senior leadership to align local operations with broader company objectives
  • Monitor key performance indicators and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead annual planning, budgeting, and performance management efforts


Operations Management

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction
  • Establish performance expectations, operational standards, and accountability measures
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity, and resource utilization
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and operational procedures
  • Support the successful execution of strategic and operational initiatives


Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop managers, supervisors, and frontline employees
  • Build a culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Support succession planning and leadership development efforts
  • Provide coaching and performance feedback to strengthen team effectiveness
  • Foster employee engagement and retention through strong leadership practices

  • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Operations, or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in an operational management role
  • Experience leading multi-functional teams in field-service, operations, industrial, distribution, construction, manufacturing, or similar environments preferred
  • Demonstrated success improving operational performance and team effectiveness
  • Experience managing budgets, performance metrics, and business operations
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
