About Artfarm & Manuela

Artfarm is an international hospitality company that brings together exceptional food, art, culture, and community to create memorable experiences. Through our restaurants, hotels, and unique destinations, we believe great hospitality is about more than what's on the plate. It's about bringing people together and creating meaningful connections.

At Manuela, we believe food and art share something special: the ability to bring people together. Our restaurants were created with that spirit in mind, offering a place where artists, families, friends, and the wider community can gather, connect, and share experiences.

Located in the heart of SoHo, Manuela New York brings this philosophy to life through seasonal cuisine, thoughtful hospitality, contemporary art, and design. Built by artists, for artists, the restaurant celebrates creativity while creating a welcoming space for everyone.

About the Opportunity

We're looking for a passionate, entrepreneurial General Manager to lead Manuela New York into its next chapter.

This is an opportunity for someone who lives and breathes hospitality, enjoys being part of the day-to-day operation, and takes real ownership of the restaurant's success.

You'll oversee the entire operation, putting the guest experience first while working closely with our Executive Chef and management team to bring out the best in our people and the business.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the Restaurant: Take ownership of daily operations, staying closely connected to the guest experience, team, culinary operations, and financial performance. Be present when it matters, make informed decisions, and take responsibility for the restaurant's success.
  • Build a Strong Team: Inspire, coach, and develop your team through open communication, transparency, and accountability, creating a workplace where people feel supported and motivated to do their best work.
  • Drive Business Performance: Oversee budgets, labor costs, profitability, and overall business performance while identifying opportunities to grow revenue, improve operations, and strengthen the guest experience.
  • Identity: Embrace the restaurant's connection to art, food, and community, understanding the story behind Manuela and sharing it with guests and employees. Build meaningful relationships with Hauser & Wirth, artists, and the wider creative community.
  • Create Opportunities: Build lasting relationships with guests and partners while developing new experiences through private dining, special events, and community engagement.
  • Collaborate Across Artfarm: Work alongside fellow leaders in Los Angeles and Washington, DC, building relationships across our U.S. restaurants, sharing ideas, and finding opportunities to learn from and support one another.

Who We're Looking For

You have a genuine passion for food, hospitality, and bringing people together.

You think like an entrepreneur, with the curiosity to understand every part of the business, the confidence to make decisions, and the commitment to see things through.

You're approachable, engaged, and genuinely invested in every aspect of the restaurant. You're comfortable being present during busy services, evenings, and late nights, and understand that running a successful restaurant means knowing your guests, supporting your people, understanding the numbers, and being there when it matters.

Experience is valuable, but we're just as interested in your personality, ambition, and ideas. Whether you're an experienced GM or someone ready for the next step, what matters most is having the right mindset and a genuine passion for what we do.
