About the Opportunity

Something new is coming to Ballpark Commons — and we're looking for the General Manager who will help bring it to life.

We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and hands-on General Manager to take the reins of our newest venture at Ballpark Commons in Franklin, Wisconsin. While we're keeping the details of the concept under wraps for just a little longer, this new space will combine food, drinks, entertainment, and guest experience into one exciting destination.

This is a unique opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a brand-new concept. The General Manager will play an integral role in preparing the operation for opening, building the team, establishing expectations and processes, and ultimately overseeing the day-to-day success of the business.

We're looking for someone who isn't afraid to jump in, solve problems, develop people, and take true ownership of their operation.

What You'll Do

As General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the location, including:

  • Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and develop a high-performing team
  • Lead day-to-day food, beverage, entertainment, and guest-service operations
  • Help develop and implement operating procedures for the new concept
  • Create a positive, accountable, and energetic workplace culture
  • Maintain high standards for hospitality, cleanliness, food quality, and overall guest experience
  • Manage labor, scheduling, inventory, purchasing, and operational expenses
  • Monitor sales and financial performance and identify opportunities for growth
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable health, safety, and alcohol-service requirements
  • Address guest concerns quickly and professionally
  • Work collaboratively with Ballpark Commons leadership and other campus operations
  • Assist with events, promotions, programming, and other initiatives that drive traffic and revenue
  • Be present and engaged during peak business periods, including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events
  • Take ownership of the operation and be willing to jump in wherever needed

Who We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate is a leader who is equally comfortable running the business and working alongside the team.

Previous management experience in restaurants, bars, hospitality, entertainment venues, or a similar high-volume environment is strongly preferred.

You should also bring:

  • Strong leadership and people-management skills
  • Experience hiring, training, scheduling, and developing employees
  • Understanding of food and beverage operations
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Financial awareness, including labor management, inventory, cost controls, and sales performance
  • Excellent communication and guest-service skills
  • A willingness to be hands-on and visible within the operation
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and events as business needs require

Compensation

$45,000–$55,000 annually, dependent on experience.

Ready to Take the Reins?

This isn't an opportunity to simply maintain an established operation. You'll have the opportunity to help build something new.

From assembling the team to creating the culture and helping launch the newest addition to Ballpark Commons, we're looking for a General Manager who is excited to put their stamp on a new concept from day one.

The concept is still under wraps — but not for much longer.

If you're ready to lead what's next at Ballpark Commons, we'd love to hear from you.
