Introduction:
Jay's Coffee & Cuisine is seeking a skilled and experienced General Manager to join our team and oversee the operations of our business. The General Manager will be responsible for managing the budget and financial performance of the company, developing and implementing strategies for growth and success, and leading and motivating a team of employees. The successful candidate will have strong leadership and problem-solving skills and be able to adapt to changing business needs.
Responsibilities:
Manage the budget and financial performance of the company, including setting goals and monitoring results
Develop and implement strategies for growth and success, including identifying new opportunities and improving existing processes
Lead and motivate a team of employees, including setting performance expectations, providing training and development, and managing employee relations
Oversee the operations of the business, including ensuring that policies and procedures are followed and that all necessary resources are available
Monitor market trends and adapt to changing business needs
Ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction at all times
Managing the day-to-day back-of-house and front-of-house operations, including scheduling, training, and supervising staff
- Handling customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner
- Overseeing the preparation and presentation of all food and beverage offerings
- Monitoring quality control and ensuring all food products are prepared to the highest standards
- Creating and implementing menus that are on-trend and innovative while also meeting the customers' needs
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient restaurant
- Managing inventory, ordering and receiving supplies, and ensuring sufficient stock levels of all necessary items
- Developing and implementing strategies to increase sales and improve customer satisfaction
- Ensure seamless collaboration between the front-of-house and kitchen staff
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Managing the point of sale system and cash handling procedures
- Monitoring sales, costs, and expenses to maximize profits and meet financial goals
- Continuously improving the customer experience through regular feedback, innovation, and education
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a management role
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
Ability to adapt to changing business needs
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong financial management skills
