General Manager – Matsunori (Handroll Restaurant, New Location)

Matsunori LYNNFIELD — GENERAL MANAGER

Job Type: Full-time, salaried 

Compensation: $65,000–$75,000/year + 5% bonus on store-level P&L (4-wall EBITDA)

Location: Market Street, Lynnfield

Timeline: Hiring within 30 days

Responsibilities:

• Staff scheduling, front and back of house — dynamic scheduling based on seasonality and business needs
• Weekly payroll administration: tip allocation, submission to accountants, timely verification of hours
• Community building and business relationship management
• Marketing implementation and brand management
• Inventory management with just-in-time ordering
• Conflict and emergency business management
• Regulatory and compliance management: health inspections, permitting, licensing, abutter requirements, and other jurisdictional obligations
• Culture driver for the location
• Cash handling and bank deposits, biweekly
• Attend mandatory weekly manager and marketing meetings
• Knowledge of sushi and Japanese food: etiquette, food handling, and cuisine understanding
• Understanding of working with a bar and bar management
• Sales driver
• Experience training, hiring, and screening servers and hosts
• Knowledge of back of house; expected to fill in ad hoc based on skill set
• Experience with POS software: Square, Toast, or Clover
• Experience coaching staff and managing KPIs
• Understanding of business needs and P&L management
