General Manager

XO HiFi is looking for a General Manager to lead our listening bar in Kansas City.

XO is a Japanese-inspired hi-fi listening bar centered around thoughtful hospitality, natural wine, cocktails, food, and music. We re looking for someone who understands how to run a great bar while preserving the character and culture that make XO unique.

The General Manager will oversee day-to-day operations and work closely with ownership, our Bar Manager, Events Coordinator, and the broader XO team.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading, supporting, and developing the FOH team
  
• Staff scheduling and labor management
  
• Maintaining a high standard of hospitality and service
  
• Overseeing daily bar and restaurant operations
  
• Managing inventory, ordering, and cost controls
  
• Working with our wine program, with an emphasis on natural wine
  
• Coordinating with the Events Manager on private events and programming
  
• Supporting the rollout of new food and beverage offerings
  
• Maintaining the space and coordinating repairs and building needs
  
• Helping create a healthy, accountable, and enjoyable staff culture
  
• Working with ownership on financial performance and long-term growth
  

We re looking for someone who is organized and accountable but also genuinely excited about hospitality, music, wine, and independent spaces.

The ideal candidate has:

• Restaurant or bar management experience
  
• Strong leadership and communication skills
  
• Natural wine knowledge or significant wine experience along with agave spirits and japanese whiskey
  
• Experience with scheduling, inventory, labor, and cost management
  
• An appreciation for music and listening culture
  
• The ability to operate independently and solve problems
  
• A warm, thoughtful approach to hospitality
  

This is a hands-on position for someone who wants to take ownership of a special, established space while helping shape its next chapter.

Salary: $65,000 $80,000, depending on experience.
