C&N Mechanical Services is seeking a dynamic and results-driven General Manager to lead the organization into its next phase of growth. This is a high-impact role responsible for driving operational excellence, financial performance, and a strong, people-first culture across the business.
The General Manager is responsible for full operational, financial, and cultural leadership of the company. This role oversees construction, service, estimating, engineering, and administrative functions to ensure consistent execution, profitability, and long-term growth.

What you will do as General Manager:
Own full P&L performance including revenue, margins, cash flow, and EBITDA
Develop and execute annual operating plans, budgets, and long-term strategy
Drive accurate forecasting, backlog management, and job costing
Identify and pursue growth opportunities across construction, service, and special projects
Lead day-to-day operations across all departments
Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards
Implement scalable processes, KPIs, and operational discipline
Strengthen communication between field and office teams
Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing leadership team
Establish clear accountability, expectations, and performance standards
Foster a culture of respect, communication, and continuous development
Oversee hiring, onboarding, and performance management systems
Serve as a key representative with clients, general contractors, and partners
Support business development and strategic relationships
Ensure exceptional customer experience and issue resolution
Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and industry standards
Oversee risk management, contract review, and claims mitigation
Promote a strong, proactive safety culture
What you will need:
10+ years of leadership experience in mechanical contracting, HVAC, plumbing, or related construction industries
Proven success managing P&L and leading operational performance
Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, estimating, and service operations
Demonstrated ability to lead through growth, change, and organizational development
Excellent communication, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills
Experience in private equity or buy-and-build environments is a plus Direct, accountable, and operationally disciplined
