Our General Manager is responsible for supporting senior leadership in executing daily operations and keeping team members accountable for each component of Operational Excellence and our Recipe for Service. A General Manager two main areas of focus are completing tasks so that the restaurant runs effectively, and coaching/developing team members. They
lead by example and set the tone that others will follow.

The General Manager is responsible for:
· Leading the restaurant in delivering an exceptional experience for every guest, every day, while consistently achieving or exceeding Chick-fil-A standards for:
o Food Quality
o Speed of Service
o Hospitality
o Cleanliness
o Accuracy
o Food Safety
· Providing overall leadership, direction, and accountability for all restaurant operations.
· Ensuring the restaurant consistently executes the vision, mission, values, and thematic goal of the organization.
· Leading and developing the Director team by:
o Clearly communicating expectations and success factors
o Providing consistent coaching and feedback
o Ensuring accountability to assigned responsibilities
o Creating unity and alignment across all areas of the business
· Ensuring the restaurant is appropriately staffed, trained, and prepared to execute excellent operations during all dayparts.
· Maintaining operational excellence through consistent execution of systems, processes, and standards.
· Monitoring and improving key business results, including:
o Sales and profitability
o Labor and productivity
o Food cost and waste
o Guest satisfaction
o Speed of Service
o Team Member retention and engagement
o Operational efficiency
· Ensuring the restaurant maintains a culture of care, excellence, hospitality, and continuous improvement.
· Building strong relationships with Team Members, leaders, guests, and community partners.
· Collaborating with the Operator and leadership team to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
· Ensuring compliance with Chick-fil-A standards, company policies, food safety requirements, employment practices, and applicable regulations.
· Leading the restaurant through change, growth, challenges, and opportunities with clarity, confidence, and consistency.
· Holding all Directors accountable for their roles and responsibilities while fostering a unified leadership team.
· Work intentionally within the restaurant while also allocating appropriate time for planning, analysis, coaching, and strategic leadership.
· Lead through other leaders rather than attempting to personally manage every operational detail.
· Allocate consistent time each week to:
o Strategic planning
o Director coaching and development
o Business performance review
o Talent planning
o Culture development
· Effectively communicate organizational goals, priorities, expectations, and success factors to the entire team.
· Combine critical thinking, business acumen, and practical leadership to drive sustainable results.
· Create clarity by ensuring every Director understands their role, responsibilities, priorities, and measures of success.
· Intentionally develop leaders who are capable of leading independently and effectively.
· Establish a culture where accountability is viewed as a form of care and development.
· Ensure hiring, training, coaching, evaluation, and daily leadership practices align with the vision and thematic goal of the organization.
· Make decisions that balance:
o The needs of the guest
o The development of the Team Member
o The health of the business
o The long-term vision of the organization
· Proactively identify problems, address root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
· Model the behaviors, standards, and values expected from every leader and Team Member.
· Protect and intentionally build the culture of the restaurant.
· Enthusiastically and passionately lead the entire restaurant team toward operational excellence and organizational growth.
