General Manager Denny's

Denny’s is looking for an experienced, energetic, and people-focused General Manager to lead our restaurant team! As General Manager, you’ll be responsible for the overall success of the restaurant, including team leadership, guest satisfaction, sales, profitability, food quality, and daily operations.

We’re looking for a strong leader who can build an engaged team, deliver an exceptional guest experience, and create a restaurant culture where people want to work and guests want to return.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and develop the restaurant team, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Create a positive, team-oriented culture focused on hospitality and guest satisfaction.
• Ensure Denny’s standards for food quality, service, cleanliness, and safety are consistently met.
• Drive sales and profitability through strong operational execution and effective cost management.
• Monitor restaurant performance and take action to achieve sales, labor, food cost, and other financial goals.
• Ensure guests receive friendly, accurate, and timely service throughout every shift.
• Maintain high standards for food preparation, presentation, and consistency.
• Manage staffing levels, scheduling, labor costs, and daily deployment.
• Recruit and retain high-quality team members and develop future leaders.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health department regulations, food safety standards, and workplace safety requirements.
• Manage inventory, ordering, waste, and food costs to protect profitability.
• Conduct regular restaurant walks and ensure the facility, equipment, kitchen, and dining areas are clean, safe, and well maintained.
• Lead opening, closing, and daily operating procedures.
• Respond professionally to guest concerns and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
• Communicate regularly with leadership and ensure the restaurant is meeting company expectations.
• Lead by example and be willing to jump in wherever needed to support the team.

• • Previous restaurant management or General Manager experience.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Experience hiring, training, coaching, and developing employees.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations, labor management, and food cost control.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment.
  • Ability to analyze restaurant performance and take action to improve results.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • ServSafe or food safety certification preferred, where applicable.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
