We are seeking a highly skilled Platform/DevOps Engineer with over 15 years of experience to join our dynamic team in San Jose, CA. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Java 11 and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our platform infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of DevOps practices, cloud technologies, and automation tools to enhance our development and deployment processes.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage scalable and reliable platform infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of applications into the platform.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability.
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Java 11, with a solid understanding of object oriented programming principles.
• Extensive experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• In depth knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet.
• Strong scripting skills in languages such as Bash, Python, or Groovy.
• Proven experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
• Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
• Knowledge of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
• Experience in Agile methodologies and working in cross functional teams.
• Certifications in relevant technologies (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, etc.)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in software development and DevOps practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
