Job Title: General Manager
Reports to: Regional Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt

Mission: We help children ages 4 months to 12 years learn to swim and be safer in and around the water through a fun, proven curriculum in a warm, nurturing environment while serving as a trusted pillar in our community.

Anchored In: A great General Manager does more than run operations. They build culture, develop leaders, drive accountability, and create an exceptional experience for families and staff.

This role requires someone who can balance people, performance, systems, and service while leading with integrity and ownership. This role is not for someone looking to simply manage shifts. We are looking for leaders who develop people, solve problems proactively, and elevate the culture around them.

Leadership, Culture, and Team Development:
  1. Build and maintain a positive, accountable culture
  2. Coach and develop future leaders
  3. Lead with professionalism, consistency, and ownership
  4. Align the team around school goals and expectations
  5. Hire, onboard, and train high-quality staff

Operations:
  1. Oversee staffing, scheduling, payroll, and customer experience
  2. Ensure all safety and operational standards are executed consistently
  3. Maintain strong execution of Goldfish systems 
  4. Manage facility and vendor needs proactively

Sales and Growth:
  1. Support enrollment growth and retention goals
  2. Coach sales and service conversations
  3. Build strong relationships with families and the local community
  4. Partner on marketing and operational initiatives
Qualifications: 

  1. 3+ years of leadership or management experience preferred
  2. Strong communication and coaching skills
  3. Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment
  4. Able to balance leadership, operational execution, customer experience, and team development in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Aquatics experience preferred
  6. Leadership and value alignment are critical

Certifications: 
Must attain Lifeguard certification, Goldfish Swim Instructor certification, and CPO within 90 Days of employment

Work Environment: 
While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise level is usually moderate.
Compensation: $70,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
