General Manager

French Bakery on 17th is seeking a hands-on, motivated General Manager to lead our talented medium-sized team and oversee the daily operations of our high-traffic bakery. This role requires daily on-site presence, reporting directly to the owner, with a focus on ensuring efficient operations, strong customer service, and strategic growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day bakery operations
• Hire, train, schedule, and support a team of 6-15 staff members
• Deliver consistently excellent customer service
• Manage labor, inventory, ordering, and waste control
• Oversee opening and closing procedures
• Maintain quality control across all bakery products and services
• Develop staff through training and ongoing development
• Manage vendor relationships
• Contribute to strategic planning and growth initiatives

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of bakery or foodservice management experience
