Job Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY:
Performs a variety of routine, manual tasks. Performs semi skilled trades duties for general maintenance, repair, or site improvement and assists team with grounds keeping and custodial resposibilities at Camp Long. Other duties as assigned within maintenance, site improvement, grounds keeping and custodial responsibilities.
JOB DUTIES:
50% - Essential - Maintenance:
Helps skill workers perform maintenance and repair tasks in such areas as carpentry, locksmith, electricity, heating, venting and air conditioning (HVAC), and plumbing. Makes general repairs and adjustments to equipment used in building and maintenance work (lawn mowers, weed eaters, chain saws, etc). Conducts routine inspections such as changing air filters, emergency lights, checking fire extinguishers, CO2 monitors, etc. Performs repairs given by the site director or facility manager. Conducts motor pool inspections including light bulbs, air filters, oil changes, etc.
20% - Essential - Improvements:
Assists team in any improvements or construction on the facility. Improvements include activities such as decking construction and painting. Using knowledge of specialty areas, provide ideas for improvements in techniques, methods, within maintenance positions as they arise. Helps maintains inventory on all maintenance equipment and tools.
20% - Essential - Grounds keeping:
Maintains the cleanliness and order of the grounds by raking leaves, weed eating, and mowing the grass. Performs tasks such as trimming and watering flowers, shrubbery, and tress. Assists in landscaping the facility when directed.
10% - Essential - Custodial:
Responsible for trash removal within designated parts of the site. Assists in the set up and breakdown for all functions held at the facility.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Education - None - Experience and knowledge in one or more of following trades: carpentry, locksmith, electricity, heating, venting and air conditioning (HVAC), and plumbing.
Preferred Qualifications
Education - High School or Equivalent - Experience and knowledge in all of the following trades: carpentry, locksmith, electricity, heating, venting and air conditioning (HVAC), and plumbing.
