Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
Seven or more years of general liability claims handling experience.
Two or more years of leadership or supervisory experience within a claims environment.
Ability to obtain a Florida All Lines Adjuster License and maintain required reciprocal licenses in states where Publix operates.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
Strong knowledge of liability claims investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and settlement practices.
Understanding of civil law, legal procedures, litigation-related concepts, and applicable statutes.
Experience using data and analytics to improve operational performance and business results.
Strong leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and team development skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, or a related field, or a master's degree in any discipline.
Ten or more years of general liability claims handling experience.
Five or more years of leadership or supervisory experience.
Professional designations such as CCLA, SCLA, CPCU, ARM, or similar industry certifications.
Active Florida All Lines Adjuster License.
Experience leading large claims organizations and implementing operational improvement initiatives.
Advanced proficiency with claims management systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
