Insurance Defense General Liability Attorney | Tampa

A Tampa law firm is looking to add an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney with 3+ years of experience to its growing team. This is an opportunity to handle a strong mix of general liability matters while working alongside experienced trial attorneys in a collaborative, established practice.

What You'll Do

• Defend insurance carriers, businesses, and insureds in general liability matters
• Handle cases from initial evaluation through resolution, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, hearings, mediation, and trial preparation
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, legal correspondence, and case evaluations
• Communicate directly with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, and other case professionals
• Develop litigation strategies and manage an active caseload with increasing autonomy

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of insurance defense or civil litigation experience
• Experience handling general liability, premises liability, personal injury, or similar matters
• Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills
• Comfortable taking ownership of cases and working through all stages of litigation
• Florida Bar admission in good standing
• Trial or courtroom experience is a plus
