Job Title: General Ledger Accountant
Location: Aliso Viejo, CA - Onsite
Type: W2 Contract
Rate: $49/Hr
Description- The Senior GL Accountant is responsible for managing core financial records; assisting in certain month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes; preparing complex journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations; and ensuring all business transactions follow US GAAP.
Requirements:Key Responsibilities: - Perform recurring accounting close activities with accountability for timely, accurate results.
- Help coordinate and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.
- Support the month-end close processes, including the preparing and recording of various journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Assist in providing necessary support for audits.
- Partner effectively with team members and departments.
- Assist with other projects and activities as directed.
Qualifications and Experience: - 3 to 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in Oracle Fusion Cloud preferable but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and translate insights into actionable improvements.
- Experience partnering with outsourced providers and external auditors.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Strong interest in process improvement, automation, machine learning, and analytics.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance CPA and/or MBA preferred
