    Description

    The General Laborer is a vital part of our field operations. You will support the installation and repair of underground utility systems by assisting pipe layers and equipment operators. This role requires physical stamina, a strong work ethic, and a "safety-first" mindset. For those looking to build a career in construction, this position offers a direct path toward becoming a Pipe Layer or Equipment Operator.

    • Site Support: Assist in manual digging, trenching, and backfilling around existing utility lines where machinery cannot reach.

    • Material Handling: Safely move and position pipes (PVC, Ductile Iron, RCP), valves, grease traps, and manhole components.

    • Equipment Assistance: Act as a spotter for heavy equipment operators to ensure safety and prevent utility strikes; assist with minor equipment maintenance.

    • Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean and organized job site; strictly follow OSHA standards and BSDG safety protocols.

    • General Maintenance: Use hand and power tools (saws, compactors, jackhammers) to prepare sites for grading and installation.

    • Utility Installation: Assist in the assembly of sewer laterals, water mains, and storm drainage systems.



    Requirements

    • Experience: Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or manual labor is preferred but not required. We will train the right individual.

    • Physical Stamina: Must be able to perform heavy physical labor in Florida weather conditions, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing/walking for long periods.

    • Reliability: Must have dependable transportation to job sites in the Daytona Beach and Central Florida area.

    • Communication: Ability to follow verbal instructions and communicate effectively with the crew for safety purposes.



    Benefits
