Site Support: Assist in manual digging, trenching, and backfilling around existing utility lines where machinery cannot reach.
Material Handling: Safely move and position pipes (PVC, Ductile Iron, RCP), valves, grease traps, and manhole components.
Equipment Assistance: Act as a spotter for heavy equipment operators to ensure safety and prevent utility strikes; assist with minor equipment maintenance.
Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean and organized job site; strictly follow OSHA standards and BSDG safety protocols.
General Maintenance: Use hand and power tools (saws, compactors, jackhammers) to prepare sites for grading and installation.
Utility Installation: Assist in the assembly of sewer laterals, water mains, and storm drainage systems.
Experience: Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or manual labor is preferred but not required. We will train the right individual.
Physical Stamina: Must be able to perform heavy physical labor in Florida weather conditions, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing/walking for long periods.
Reliability: Must have dependable transportation to job sites in the Daytona Beach and Central Florida area.
Communication: Ability to follow verbal instructions and communicate effectively with the crew for safety purposes.
Familiarity with reading grade stakes or using a laser level.
Knowledge of 811 "Call Before You Dig" procedures.
Valid driver’s license (clean driving record is a plus).
