    Position SummaryThe General Laborer performs essential production and sanitation tasks required for the safe and efficient manufacture of food products. This position requires consistent adherence to food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards. The essential functions outlined below are fundamental to the position and must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

    Essential FunctionsThe following duties are essential functions of the position. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform these functions:Production Operations

    Perform repetitive manual tasks involved in food preparation, processing, and packagingOperate basic production machinery and equipment in accordance with established proceduresHandle raw materials, ingredients, and finished goods throughout the production processMaintain production pace to meet operational and quality standardsAccurately follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions

    Food Safety & Quality

    Adhere to all food safety regulations, including GMP, HACCP, and sanitation standardsMonitor products for quality, defects, or contamination and take appropriate actionMaintain proper labeling, handling, and storage of food productsFollow allergen control and cross-contamination prevention protocols

    Sanitation & Safety

    Clean and sanitize equipment, tools, and work areas according to required schedulesProperly use personal protective equipment (PPE) as requiredComply with all workplace safety rules and immediately report hazards or incidents

    Attendance & Reliability

    Maintain regular and predictable attendanceWork assigned shifts, including overtime, weekends, or holidays as required by production needs

    Marginal (Non-Essential) Functions

    Assist with inventory counts or material stagingSupport other production areas as neededParticipate in continuous improvement or cross-training initiatives

    Required Qualifications

    Ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructionsAbility to work effectively in a team-based production environmentAbility to comply with food safety and sanitation requirements

    Preferred Qualifications

    High school diploma or GEDPrior experience in food manufacturing, production, or industrial environments
