Description

Abbott Bus Lines, Inc. is seeking a dependable, hands-on individual to assist with a variety of tasks in our shops.

Responsibilities include:
  • Assist shop personnel with bus repairs, body work, and related projects as directed.
  • Help remove, move, and reinstall bus seats and other components under supervision.
  • Move tools, parts, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Clean and organize shop areas, tools, and workspaces.
  • Assist with general property upkeep, including weed eating, picking up debris, and other outdoor tasks.
  • Follow safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment.
  • Perform other general labor duties as assigned.
  • Perform other duties and miscellaneous tasks as assigned by management, including work in the shops, on the grounds, or in other areas of company operations as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Dependable, punctual, and willing to take direction.
  • Comfortable performing physical work, including lifting and moving items, bending, standing, and working outdoors.
  • Able to work independently and alongside shop personnel.
  • Basic familiarity with hand and power tools preferred.
  • Previous shop, maintenance, or general labor experience is helpful.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects.
  • Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.

Work Environment:
  • Exposure to paint fumes, chemicals, and dust.
  • Use of personal protective equipment is required.
  • Work may be performed indoors and outdoors.
