Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable, hard-working General Laborer to join our growing team. In this entry-level role, you will perform specialized ceiling cleaning and high-dusting services for restaurants and commercial businesses. This position requires frequent night-time / third-shift work (typically 10 PM – 6 AM or similar) because most business deep-cleaning projects are scheduled after hours when they are closed. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to start in general labor with possible advancement into a skilled, technical trade. Top performers will receive training and hands-on experience leading to working where you will install, repair, and maintain professional suspended ceiling systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean restaurant ceilings using specialized high-reach tools, vacuums, and cleaning solutions to remove grease, smoke residue, dust, and cobwebs.
- Perform high-dusting services in offices, retail spaces, warehouses, and other commercial buildings.
- Safely operate ladders, scissor lifts, and boom lifts to access ceilings up to 30+ feet.
- Follow strict safety protocols and company procedures at every job site.
- Maintain a clean and professional work environment while on client premises.
- Load, unload, and care for company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
- Assist senior technicians with basic drop-ceiling tasks as you progress in training.
- Complete daily job reports and communicate effectively with the team and clients.
Qualifications & Requirements
- No previous experience required – we provide full training.
- Physically fit and able to work at heights.
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license (clean driving record preferred).
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours (early mornings, evenings, or weekends when businesses are closed for deep cleaning).
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Frequent lifting, carrying, bending, reaching, and climbing (up to 50 lbs).
- Work at heights using ladders and lifts.
- Exposure to dust, cleaning chemicals, and commercial kitchen environments.
- Majority of work is performed at client sites; some warehouse/shop time.
