Warehouse Associate – Tire Distribution
Pay: $20.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM – Finish
Weekend: Some Saturdays may be required during busy season
JOB OVERVIEW
We are currently hiring Warehouse Associates to join a busy tire distribution warehouse. This is a very physical, hands-on position involving the loading and unloading of truck trailers filled with tires.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is comfortable with hard physical work, wants to learn warehouse equipment, and is looking for a long-term position. Forklift and cherry picker experience is a plus, but not required — qualified associates will be trained on the equipment after they are hired.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manually load and unload truck trailers filled with tires.
- Receive incoming tires in the morning by unloading tires from a conveyor belt.
- Lift, stack, organize, and label tires throughout the receiving process.
- Pull and prepare tires for outbound shipments.
- Load customer orders and tires into outbound delivery trucks.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including cherry pickers and forklifts, once properly trained.
- Keep tires and warehouse inventory organized.
- Follow all safety procedures and warehouse guidelines.
- Work efficiently as part of a team to keep up with daily production and shipping demands.
- Perform other general warehouse duties as needed.
BUSY SEASON EXPECTATIONS
The tire industry becomes significantly busier during the fall and winter months, and candidates must be comfortable with a flexible schedule during this time.
During busy season, associates should be prepared to:
- Start as early as 6:45 AM when needed.
- Work 12+ hour shifts when business demands require it.
- Work some Saturdays.
- Maintain a strong attendance record and dependable work ethic.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Previous warehouse, loading/unloading, manufacturing, or general labor experience is preferred.
- Forklift or cherry picker experience is a plus, but not required.
- Comfortable performing heavy lifting and repetitive physical work throughout the entire shift.
- Able to work at a fast pace and keep up with production demands.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Willingness to work extended hours and occasional Saturdays during busy season.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This is a very physical warehouse position. Candidates must be comfortable:
- Repeatedly lifting and moving tires throughout the shift.
- Loading and unloading truck trailers by hand.
- Standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting for extended periods.
- Performing repetitive work in a fast-paced environment.
- Working extended shifts during the fall and winter busy season.
