General Laborer (HVAC Experience Preferred)
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking General Laborer with HVAC experience to assist technicians in installing, maintaining, repairing, and removing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, can safely operate tools and equipment, and is committed to providing quality service while maintaining a safe work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist HVAC technicians with residential and commercial installations, repairs, and maintenance.
- Load, unload, transport, and organize HVAC equipment, tools, and materials.
- Perform general labor tasks including demolition, cleanup, and job site preparation.
- Install ductwork, insulation, vents, and basic HVAC components under supervision.
- Assist with troubleshooting HVAC systems and equipment.
- Maintain clean and organized work vehicles and job sites.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other equipment safely.
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies.
- Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous general labor experience required.
- HVAC experience preferred (installation, service, or maintenance).
- EPA Certification is a plus but not required.
- Ability to read basic blueprints and follow work orders is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
