Manufacturing Warehouse Worker / Packer

Location: Henrico, VA
Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
Pay: $14.00 per hour

Job Description

We are hiring Manufacturing Warehouse Workers / Packers for a busy manufacturing facility in Henrico. This is a hands-on warehouse and production position where employees may work in different areas of the facility depending on their experience and the needs of the department.

Employees may handle different duties throughout the day, including packaging, packing cups, labeling, sorting, and general production work. This is a good opportunity for someone who is dependable, willing to learn, and looking for a position with room to grow. What You'll Do

  • Work in different manufacturing and warehouse areas based on experience and production needs.
  • Package, pack, tape, label, sort, and prepare manufactured products for shipment.
  • Perform packaging and packing duties, including packing cups and other manufactured products.
  • Assist with general production and assembly duties as needed.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all company procedures for product handling, cleanliness, safety, and quality.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with GMP requirements.
  • Follow production instructions, work orders, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform visual quality checks on products and packaging.
  • Report damaged, defective, contaminated, or incorrectly packaged products to the team leader.
  • Move and organize materials within the warehouse and production areas.
  • Break down cardboard and other recyclable materials and keep work areas clean.
  • Use hand tools or power tools when required for the assigned department.
  • Help the production and warehouse team meet daily productivity and quality goals.
  • Follow all GMP, safety, quality, and sanitation requirements throughout the shift.
  • Perform other general labor, warehouse, and production duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse, packing, packaging, or general labor experience is helpful but not required.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and established GMP procedures.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to perform visual quality inspections and pay attention to detail.
  • Reliable attendance and a willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in different manufacturing and warehouse areas as needed.
  • Willingness to follow GMP standards and maintain proper workplace cleanliness.
  • Power tool experience is a plus.
  • Forklift certification is preferred, or willingness to become certified if required for the department.
  • Willingness to learn different production and packaging tasks.

Physical Requirements

  • Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequently bend, stoop, squat, push, and pull.
  • Perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
  • Work comfortably in varying warehouse and manufacturing temperatures, including heat, humidity, and cold.
  • Maintain a steady pace while meeting production and quality expectations.
