Position: General Laborer (Freezer)
Location: Brockport, NY

Summary: Nesco Resource is seeking dependable and hardworking General Laborers to support freezer and repackaging operations within a food manufacturing facility in Brockport, NY. This temp-to-perm opportunity provides candidates the chance to build long-term manufacturing experience while supporting daily production operations. The General Laborer will assist with material handling, product flow, staging, and maintaining a clean and safe production environment. This role is ideal for individuals who are reliable, team-oriented, and comfortable working in cold storage environments.

Pay Rate:

• $17.10/Hour
  • $1.00/Hour Shift Differential for 2nd Shift
  • $2.00/Hour Shift Differential for 3rd Shift

Shift(s):

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Job Duties:

• Support production operations by ensuring a steady flow of vegetables and materials to repackaging lines
• Stage and open raw product totes for production use
• Break down, stack, and organize empty totes and pallets
• Assist line operators and team leaders in maintaining efficient production flow
• Perform material handling tasks to reduce downtime and prevent production interruptions
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards within assigned work areas
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety procedures, and company policies
• Identify and report safety concerns, quality issues, or production obstacles
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Support additional production duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience preferred but not required
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Reliable transportation required
• Dependable attendance and willingness to support production needs

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

• Ability to work in freezer and cold storage environments for extended periods
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive motions
• Ability to lift, move, and handle production materials regularly
• Comfortable working around production equipment and moving machinery
• Exposure to cold temperatures, noise, and industrial conditions
• Must follow all required PPE, food safety, and workplace safety procedures
• Ability to maintain productivity and quality standards in a fast-paced environment
• Overtime opportunities may be available during peak production periods
